Vanessa Barnes is APGAW’s legal advisor. Having studied law at undergraduate and also Masters level, Vanessa went into private practice as an associate solicitor for several years.  She has also run her own smallholding rearing rare breed sheep, and keeping pigs, horses and chickens. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Welfare, Policy and Legislation, from Hartbury University graduating in June 2023 with distinction. Vanessa works on a part-time basis and has been focused on the dog breeding work under APGAW’s remit.
