APGAW's next meeting (8th December 2015) is on the use of dogs & cats in scientific research asking an expert panels questions like how many cats and dogs are tested on in the UK per annum & is this number being reduced or increased, why are they being used for scientific research, do the benefits outweigh the concerns, how do we ensure high welfare for these cats and dogs and should a ban on the use of cats & dogs for scientific research be considered?
