The next APGAW meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 12th July at the House of Commons and will be on Farm Animal Welfare. The meeting will address the issues of sustainability and meat consumption, humane slaughter and CCTV in abattoirs. APGAW recognises that the world population is growing and there is a demand for animal products but also recognises the impact of this on climate change, deforestation, water shortages and the rearing and slaughter of animals. The meeting will explore how meat production can be sustainable and ensure high standards.
