APGAW only has one Patron, Peter Egan, who has demonstrated his commitment and passion for animal welfare over a number of years.

Peter is a well known actor having been in The Ambassador, Death at a Funeral, A Perfect Spy, Downton Abbey, Midsommer Murders amongst many other roles and time spent on stage.

Peter is a strong voice for animal welfare across the UK as well as internationally. He is a UK Ambassador for Animal Asia and also  works closely with All Dogs Matters, the Dr Hadwen Trust, the League Against Cruel Sports and the RSPCA.  As Patron, he will be ensuring that the animal welfare voice is heard in Parliament and will help to open up communication between politicians and member organisations.

Peter will also help the public understand the importance of animal welfare and the need to get MPs involved in developing better legislation to protect animals in the UK.
